ITC Add-On Licensure Option 

School Libraries students are also eligible to enroll in the Graduate Certificate Program for Instructional Technology Facilitation (ITF).  Completion of this 18 hour graduate certificate allows candidates to apply for the North Carolina DPI (077) Instructional Technology Facilitator license. The program of study for this certificate includes:

 

  • MTL 5240 - Designing Digital Learning  (3 credit hours)

  • MTL 5350 - Societal & Legal Issues in Digital Learning  (3 credit hours) 

  • MTL 5440 - Exploring Critical Issues and Opportunities in Media and Technologies  (3 credit hours)

  • MTL 5550 - Technology, Leadership, and Chan (3 credit hours)

3 hours of courses selected from the list below or an appropriate substitution approved by the program director.

    • MTL 5200 - Multimedia Production and the Mind (3 credit hours)

    • MTL 5600 - Digital Storytelling (3 credit hours) 

    • MTL 5642 - Design and Development of Digital Media  (3 credit hours) 

    • MTL 5650 - Designing for Online Engagement  (3 credit hours) 

    • MTL 5740 - Photography and Digital Imaging  (3 credit hours)

    • MTL 5825 - Documentary Media (3 credit hours)

    • MTL 5835 - Media Influence and Identity Across Cultures  (3 credit hours)

    • MTL 5845 - Global Perspectives in Media and Technology  (3 credit hours)
