Students no longer have to leave their homes and travel miles away to obtain an MLS; the classroom comes to the student as a "virtual reality" called OpenQwaq. Think of a video game that has the capacity to serve as your pathway to higher education. When classes meet in "real time," students can talk with one another and the instructor, they make presentations and share ideas, post assignments and participate just as they would in an ordinary class setting – but they can be at home, even if home is across the state. Students also often work independently and in small groups according to their own schedules.
